Definitely Maybe

Their first ever album became a successful hit, and for me I enjoy every song that comes on. The Beatles rock 'n roll style stays with you throughout, and the guitar riffs never make me feel bored of listening to the songs over and over again. Noel's writing is up to standard throughout, and Liam's vocals are just as recognisable as ever.

(What's the Story) Morning Glory

Being released in 1995, it followed the success of their 1994 album 'Definitely Maybe' it was the first true test if the band could survive. And I absolutely love this album even though it is the most well known (catch someone with a guitar playing Wonderwall) the songs, thanks to Noel, have been written well and has become England's unofficial soundtrack.(What's the Story) Morning Glory contains classics such as 'Don't Look In Anger' through to 'Cast No Shadow' and ending with 'Champagne Supernova'. These unofficial national anthems that soundtracked a generation's coming-of-age. In fact it is an album that truly changed British culture.

Be Here Now

Falling short off (What's The Story) Morning Glory, this album is quite a disappointment. The shortest track is 5:13, and lyrics are only about success and filled with a foreboding sense that nothing's set to last. There were reportedly up to 50 channels of guitar on each of the tracks, sometimes coupled with a 36-piece orchestra. Even Q described the album as 'cocaine set to music'.

The Masterplan

An album filled with unreleased tracks and scrapped outtakes we were given 'The Masterplan'. There are moments of crackling energy on 'Fade Away' and 'Headshrinker', which have been described as an updated version of 60s power-pop anachronisms. This might be one of the least known albums, however there are a few gems in the dirt.
